FROM THE GOSPEL - SHARING EASTER JOY
As we celebrate the liturgical season of Easter, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude for the blessings that this sacred season brings into our lives. Easter is not merely a day on the calendar; it is a season—a time of profound significance in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. It is a season of renewal, rebirth, and most importantly, hope.
During Lent, we embarked on a journey of self-reflection, fasting, and prayer, preparing our hearts to receive the joyous message of Easter. Now, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are reminded of the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair.
In our Catholic primary school community, the significance of Easter extends beyond the walls of our classrooms. It permeates our daily activities, infusing them with the spirit of joy, compassion, and love. We are reminded of the new life that Easter brings in our hearts and souls.
Through the liturgical season of Easter, we are invited to deepen our faith and embrace the transformative power of Christ's resurrection. It is a time for us to renew our commitment to living as disciples of Christ, embodying His teachings of love, forgiveness, and compassion in all that we do.
As parents and educators, let us seize this opportunity to instil in our children the profound meaning of Easter. Let us teach them to cherish the gift of faith, to embrace the hope that springs eternal from the empty tomb, and to live their lives as beacons of Christ's light in a world often shrouded in darkness.
May this joy of Easter fill your hearts with renewed faith, hope, and love. Let us continue to journey together as a community, guided by the light of Christ's resurrection, and may His blessings be upon us all.
Wishing you many blessings for a joyous Easter season.
Jesus is love;
Love has overcome death.
Jesus is light:
Light has overcome darkness.
We are an Easter people, filled with joy,
And with all the angels and saints, we exalt your name and exclaim,
Alleluia, Jesus Christ our Lord has risen.
Amen.
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the completion of Term One, it is important to take the time to look back with gratitude for the positive start to the school year. At the end of Term One, we give thanks to God for all the teaching and learning that has taken place in our school, both in and out of the classroom. For the talents and gifts that have been shared and the challenges that have been faced. For the respect and care that has been given. We give thanks for the friendships that have just begun and for those that have grown.
For the hope that has lifted our hearts and for the love that has kept us going.
We give thanks to our school community, and we ask you, Lord, to bless our children and their families as we begin our holidays. May our time together leave us with memories to cherish. Pour out your love on us so that we return renewed and refreshed to continue our journey together.
May our school community, our family lives and our broader Church all allow us to build a deeper relationship with our God this Easter season.
Wishing you all many blessings for the Easter season and for the school holiday break.
Enjoy this time with your families.

This would be instead of birthday cake or cupcakes. These treats could be something like a bag of Freddo frogs or other types of individually wrapped small treats.
